Yes. The Prospect Heights Park District Board of Commissioners listened to Park District residents about the needs they see in their community, including the renovation or replacement of the Gary Morava Recreation Center, Lions Pool, tennis courts, ballfields and other outdoor recreational spaces. As a result, options to renovate or replace these facilities and spaces were investigated and each require significant capital funding.

The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to pursue a $30 million bond referendum to raise revenue for the projects.
