Letters to Santa
Friday, November 21 – Friday, December 12 | GMRC | All Ages | FREE
On November 21, Santa’s elves will deliver Santa’s magical mailbox to the Gary Morava Recreation Center. Write a letter to Santa and drop it off at his specially designated mailbox. On December 12, the elves will return Santa’s magical mailbox to the North Pole so don’t delay.
Please remember to include your name and return address to ensure the elves know where to send Santa’s response.

EVENT CANCELLED – Prospect Heights Annual Tree Lighting and Santa Arrival
Unfortunately, the Prospect Heights Tree Lighting & Santa Arrival originally scheduled for Sat, November 29th has been cancelled due to the expected snowstorm. The event will not be postponed, but the tree will still shine bright for everyone to enjoy throughout the season. Stay safe, everyone!
Holly Jolly Gingerbread Workshop

Decorating gingerbread houses is such a festive holiday activity! It’s even more fun when you make it with your family. Come out to the Holly Jolly Gingerbread Decorating Workshop to create your families one of a kind masterpiece. A house, royal icing and tons of candy decor will be available to create your house. Bring your house home with you that evening. There will be online voting on our Facebook page for your family & friends to vote for the BEST Holly Jolly Gingerbread House in Prospect Heights! Top 3 houses will be awarded prizes.
This fee is for a family of up to 4 people.
Holiday House Decorating Contest

Get into the Holiday Spirit, Prospect Heights! Channel your inner Clark Griswold or Luther Krank and transform your home into a holiday masterpiece! Enter the Holiday House Decorating Contest and show off your festive flair! Let our lights shine bright for our judges to see. Open to Prospect Heights residents only. Judging Dates: Thursday, December 18 & Friday, December 19 Lights must be on from 4:00–8:30P. Prizes will be awarded! All houses will be posted on our Facebook page for final judging.
Holiday Trolley Express

Hop on the Holiday Trolley Express! We will venture through the area streets to see all the houses decorated for the season. During our ride we will hear a story from one of Santa’s helpers and sing Christmas Carols. Upon arrival back from the ride you will have time to visit with Santa, receive a gift bag, make a holiday craft and enjoy a few of Santa’s favorite treats—cookies and hot chocolate. We look forward to seeing you on the next trolley! Please be sure to register for your desired trolley time! Total time including trolley ride is 1–1.5 hours
